My name is deb metcalfe, I am a mam to 4 fantastic children they are 24 22 18 and 16
I have been married to Craig for 15 years we have a very welcoming loving home, we have 2 dogs and a cat willow hope and Robyn they are fantastic with children.
I have been an ofsted registered childminder since 2010.
I am fully first aid trained, and myself and my husband are CRB checked.
I am able to care for children from birth to 13 years.
I have a fantastic toy room which children love, I work very closely with the EYFS framework.
I have a safe decking area and a garden that children can play and explore in.
My home is non smoking and I promote healthy eating.
I do a development file working closely within the EYFS for your child
A contact dairy is also given so you can see what your child has done that day
What they have ate, naps etc.
I enjoy socialising within the childminding network
My Experience
having four children of my own is an experience in its self !!
When my two older boys were young I helped to run a toddler group at st.chads ..
I have new born experience.
My Qualifications
I have CACHE level 3 diploma in home based childcare
An NVQ level 3 diploma for children and young people's workforce (QCF) 2013
I have a valid first aid certificate
Safeguarding certificate for the wellbeing of your child.
i have had my ofsted inspection which took place on 15.11.10. i was then graded "Good
I have had my ofsted inspection on 15.01.15 and again I have received another grade : Good:
I have had my ofsted inspection on 10.4.17.. again I have been graded Good. ..
I had my ofsted inspection on 17.12.22
Again I have been graded Good.
My Availability
i am able to look after children from the ages of 0/1 2/5 5/8 and 8 and over, i am available to start work Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm this could be a later finish depending on parents needs
also registered for government funding for 2 3 and 4 year olds .

My daughter has been going to Debs for almost 2 years and my son will be going soon as well (just having his settling in sessions st the minute). Deb is amazing! She carries on their normal home routines in terms of naps, feeds, potty training etc... She looks after them like they are her own, and they absolutely love going there. They learn lots and have so much fun. We are kept up to date with the days activities via a daily diary.
And today my daughter had the “best day ever” going on the bus to the winter gardens.
The setting is a clean, child friendly area of her house which includes a dedicated play room full of many different stimulating activities.
Could not recommend Debs enough!

I have just handed my notice in with deb because i am moving down south. This was quite hard to do as deb has been amazing! I wish i could take her with me! As a childminder she goes above and beyond. My daughter absolutly loves going there. Shes always tired when she comes back and full of smiles when she goes in the morning! I would recommend deb to anybody. She truly is a one in a million childminder and will be sadly missed by my daughter and me.

It's been a pleasure to have Olivia she is a lovely beautiful little girl ..
Olivia has been a part of our fixtures and fittings within my home lol and I now that Craig and the kids will mss you both so much ... As will I .....
We wish you both the very best for the future and I hope that my notice period goes really slow lol
Not only have I been your childminder but we have become really good friends
And as craig said chesterfield is a night away for us to come and see you both lol

My little girl goes to deb 5 days a week. She is really good with helping olivia along with her development - olivia loves going & her face lights up when she sees her! I would recommend to anyone looking for childminder! Xx
