About Me
Hi there
I'm an ofsted registered childminder and an experienced mother, my name is Monica Henderson. I am married to a science teacher and we have three children, a 14 year old boy, a 10 year old boy and a girl who is 9, they all attend school full time.
We live in a 3 bed house in Plymstock, situated close to the Broadway shopping centre and backing onto Burrow Hill. I am an 8 minute walk to Goosewell Primary School were I can do pickups / drop-offs. I offer a lovely home from home experience, where I aim for every child to reach their full potential through a variety of fun activities.
I have facilities to suit all age ranges both indoors and outside, as well as attending a number of outings per week to organised meetings/groups. From messy, soft and role play to baking, drawing and trips to the park, there will be something on offer every day for every child making sure that the child meets the needs of their specific age range, if they wish to take part.
My Experience
Since very young I had the passion for contributing to better children's lives. I have volunteered for UNICEF in South America which was very rewarding to experience the genuine gratefulness in childrens faces that might not have a parent to pay for the care. Now that I am a mother and experience the joy of having children I realise how important it is to provide good childcare. I believe in transmitting good values from a warm, patient, encouraging and kind heart. I guide the children in my care of the goodness of life and the importance of gratefulness and how to overcome challenges.
Originally from Venezuela I speak Spanish and Hebrew. I can also support your child in French, Portuguese or Italian if necessary or desired. Living away from my country of birth I understand how important it is to learn other languages and share cultures in this globalised world we know live in.
I have been a child minder for 15 years now and have enjoyed it immensely.
My Qualifications
I have completed Child minding Courses (level 3 home based child care diploma), hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, I am a member of trio childcare and DCMA and have an Enhanced CRB Certificate for both myself and my husband and am registered with both the Information Commissioners Office and the Environmental Health Office.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm however I can be flexible depending on the parent and child's needs. .
I am permitted to care for your child overnight and I can be available at weekends but would need to build a good relationship with them first before any overnight stay.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £8.00 per hour
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.50per hour/child .
includes snacks (fruit, yogurt, fresh juices, milk, water).
£2.50 for meal if required.
Overnight child care and weekend costs can be arranged.
