About Me
My name is Emma Brewer and I am an Ofsted registered childminder located in Maidenbower, Crawley. I live with my husband and our wonderful daughter who was born in August 2015. Both my husband and I have been DBS checked.
We live in a four bedroom detached house with playroom with lots of toys, games and craft activities for a variety of ages. There is a spacious enclosed garden with a playhouse and outdoor toys. I also have a pet dog who is very friendly and playful towards adults and children. There is also a local park which is ten minutes away which we can visit on a regular basis to follow the interests of the children that I am caring for.
My Experience
I have a wealth of experience of looking after and caring for young children. I have worked in a variety of nursery settings and an after-school club looking after children from birth to school aged.
After all my professional experience, I also have experience of caring for and looking after my own baby. I have also looked after friends children and my three nephews on several occasions.
My Qualifications
I have completed a BA (Hons) degree in the Early Years: Childhood Studies at Chichester University and then the Early Years Professional Status, I am qualified to level 6. In addition to this, I have achieved a CACHE Level 3 Award in ‘Preparing to Work in Home Based Childcare’ and have updated my paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene in line with the statutory requirements for childcare providers. I am registered to care for children between the ages of birth and 5 on the Early Years Register (EYFS) and the Childcare Register.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday 7.30am to 6pm, but on Thursdays I’m only available 12pm-7pm. I am willing to do school drop offs and school pick-ups at Maidenbower Infant School and Junior school or surrounding nurseries/pre-schools. I can be flexible with these times aslong as I have notice. I am open all year round. I provide both term time care and school holiday care but am closed at weekends. I plan to have up to 4/5 weeks planned holiday per year. I provide childcare for children aged from 10 months to children aged 10 years old. My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I charge £4.90 per hour which includes breakfast and snacks. I like to attend local toddler groups with the children and occasional farm trips/park trips with the parents permission of course beforehand (which I would ask parents to pay for entrance fee).
I ask for parents to bring their children's own lunch or dinner which I can preheat at my home. The reason for this is so I can spend all my time playing and interacting with the children rather than cooking in the kitchen (my home isn't very open plan).
I can work bank holidays if needed but will charge time and a half for care.
I accept childcare vouchers.
