I’m 29, I currently hold a level 3 qualification in Childcare and education which i studied at sixth form for 2 years to achieve. I’m first aid level 3 trained and also hold a up to date clean DBS. I have a clean UK driving license.
I’m punctual, organised and professional. When it comes to my job I believe in building a strong bond with both parents and children to ensure that both are fully connected and comfortable with me. I’d like to have an understanding of there routines, interest, struggles and development needs so that I can cater and plan ahead activities to suit these.
My Experience
Since achieving my qualification, I went straight into a private nursery. Whilst working there for 3 years I started of caring for children age 12-18months. After 2 years, I then moved into the younger room which were baby’s aged 3-12 months to which I was made room leader and senior. Which then led on to me being promoted to deputy. Working in the nursery I worked alongside parents/careers to have a good understanding on each individual child’s needs, wants, likes and dislikes, to make there time at nursery as fun an enjoyable as possible. I had the responsibility of following a daily routine. This includes meals times,sleep routines, nappy changes, activity planning, keeping development files and scrap books up to date for parents.
I then moved on to become a nanny, Which I have been for over 8 years working alongside a few different family’s over those years. My duties include supplying breakfast each morning, prepared and doing any preschool/school pick up and drop offs, making lunch, planning activities/play dates/playgroups both indoors and outdoors to do during the day and again for after school pick up (if any), taking both Children to any after school activities, keeping on top of tidying any mess the children may make around the house, also make dinner and do bath time of an evening. During school holidays I would get the children ready in the morning and plan fun/educational days out which are of the children interests. As a nanny we keep on top of all the childrens washing, ironing, changing of their beds, and anything else required.
Over the past 10 years I have worked with a range of different age groups and have had lots of fun teaching the children new things, watching them learn and grow, providing good manors, healthy meals, and lots of fun for them to get involved in.
