About Me
I am a friendly bubbly person who is used to working as part of a team. I have worked with preschool children my whole career and could not imagine myself doing anything else.
I am open minded to people's childcare styless and don't believe there is a wrong or right way to do things. I am quite relaxed and fun with the children in my care, with lots of activity ideas to keep them occupied. I love exploring the world around us with them i.e. forests, parks, toddler groups, library but am equally happy staying in with playdo, reading and den building etc.
I am familiar with the EYFS curriculum implementing it in my previous job as an Early Years Educator in a Day Nursery, working with 0-2s.
I am hoping to study alongside Nannying in play therapy or child counselling/mindfulness.
It is important to me that the children in my care are happy and content and then the parents can get on with their work before coming home to an organised calm home at the end of the day (well most days)!
My Experience
I have worked with pre school children for nearly 30years in a mixture of Nannying and Childcare establishments, as a Nursery Nurse.
I have looked after children from newborn up to 10year olds.
I am a mum to a 12 year old boy so understand the issue and challenges of parenting.
I am confident with weaning and toilet training etc and have a good understanding of child development. Including working knowledge of the EYFS stages of development.
I am used to cooking healthy balanced meals for children and have a Food Hygiene certificate.
I am Ofsted registered and have an up-to-date DBS check and Paediatric First Aid.

NNEB (Nursery Nursing equivalent to NVQ3)

My Availability
I am currently working 4 days a week with a 2yr old, who will go to Nursery soon.
I am looking for around 32-35 hours a week and am prepared to drive around 20 miles for work.
