About Me
I am a registered childminder, (registered with Ofsted, 110995), a member of the National Childminding Association, Hart Childminding Association and have met the standards set out in the NCMA Quality Childminding Charter.
I have 2 children; aged 35and 25. I enjoy pets, music, art and gardening. I share my home with 2 Persian cats.
I believe that children should be encouraged to use their imagination through reading and play, art, dance and music. I encourage the children to make friendships and be kind, considerate and caring towards each other and us grownups.
I like to work with a sense of humour and children are encouraged to express themselves. I am also aware that some children are shy and struggle to communicate with others. I work hard to create an environment that is fair and encouraging for all the children in my care.
I am an EYE provider and can claim up to 30 hours per week free space for your child from the term after they are three years old, (2 years old if parent qualifies).
My Experience
I have been childminding for 26 and before that have worked in ; banking, sales and marketing.
I have worked with many children, communicating well with their families; some of whom have special needs and requirements.
I have an Open University Open BA Honours Degree primarily studying Early years then moving onto Childhood literature, Creative Writing and finally Advanced Creative Writing. I studied part time over 7 years whilst working full time. I have found this study to greatly benefit the work that I do.
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ 3 in Childcare, a level 4 certificate in Childcare , a Foundation Degree in Early Years and a BA Honours Open Degree.
My Availability
I have availability for school children from Tavistock Infant School and All Saints Junior School.
