About Me
I am a native Mandarin speaker and an experienced Mandarin tutor/ teacher. I am an friendly and caring individual and love working with children.
I have a BA in Chinese Literature, and a MA in Museum Studies from the UCL. I currently worked at art museum part time. promoting learning events to a wide range of audience. I also run Mandarin clubs at after school club and holiday camps at various schools.
I am a mum and understand the learning needs for children. I enjoy making learning creative and fun for children with music, activities, singing and fun games. I find it rewarding when children come up to me and show me what I taught them in Chinese!
My Experience
I provide primary language tuition to young children through Montessori style, an interactive learning programme designed to stimulate children's natural enthusiasm for language and communication.It teaches introductory Chinese to children through singing, drama, drawing and other fun activities.The aim of the class is not only to teach the children concepts of Mandarin but also to give them a sound knowledge of Chinese culture.
My Qualifications
BA in Chinese Literature, Fu Jen University, Taiwan
MA in Museum Studies, UCL (I won a UCL scholarship at the UCL)
MA in Life History, London Metropolitan University ( three modules, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund)
