About Me
Hi my name Is Kathryn I am a Registered Childminder living in Glenfield. I live with my husband and two children aged 12 and 8. I offer a warm, loving and safe environment for all children.
I work full time Monday to Friday, my hours of work are 7:30am to 6:00pm, however I am willing to negotiate on these hours if required.
I have plenty of experience with babies and am happy to care for babies from the age of 3 months.
I drop off and collect from The Hall School in Glenfield. I am also happy to drop off and collect from the local preschools in the area providing these do not clash with the school drop off and colletions at The Hall school.
I make regular observations on the children that are in my care and use a tacker folder to record their progress, these will often also include snap shots of the activites the children have been enjoying. I share these on a regular basis with the childrens parents.
I am a member of the PACEY.
I provide the following activities and resources:
A large range of baby and toddler toys.
Imaginary and role-play, dressing up clothes, toy kitchen.
Cars and garage.
Sand and water play.
Books, tapes, videos and DVDs.
Creative, junk modelling, painting, colouring, sticking, cutting.
Cooking, simple biscuits and cakes, pizza and preparing sandwiches etc.
Outdoor toys, bikes, paddling pool, tents, balls and hoops.
Jigsaw puzzles and board games.
For older children I also provide a computer and play station, although I limit the time allowed on these activities.
All resources provide positive images of people from different cultures and abilities.
We go for regular outings to local parks, toddler groups, childminder drop-Ins, library and shops.

I am available 7:30am until 6:00pm but can be flexible for one off care and emergencies. Longer working hours will also be considered.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I charge £4.50 per hour between the hours of 7.30am - 6pm Monday to Friday. The fees include all meals and snacks required for the child whilst in my care. They also include trips out to the farm, zoo and playgroup etc

After a full year at home with my daughter, the time came to find a childminder close to my place of work. Kathryn was the second childminder that I visited and I knew immediately that my daughter would be happy and safe in the her care.
My daughter had spent a lot of time with me during my year off and so the settling in period was something which I had been worrying about. Kathryn was amazing! She made my daughter feel welcome and had a wide range of activities planned which helped to engage my daughter in next to no time. Kathryn has regular planned activities throughout the week which helps the youngsters in her care settle into a routine.
My daughter has settled really well thanks to Kathryn's calm approach and comforting nature. She is a sociable little girl who is growing in confidence all the time.
The children partake in varied activities and are encouraged to share and be considerate towards one another. Kathryn will update you during the day if you want to know how your little one is doing and she provides nutritious home cooked meals that my daughter enjoys.
I feel so lucky that I found such a lovely childminder within easy travelling distance of my workplace and I would recommend Kathryn to anyone looking for good quality childcare within a warm, friendly and homely environment.
