About Me
My name is Katie Hobson and I have been a Registered Childminder now for 10 years.
I have worked as a nanny for the previous 4 years before that and I decided I want to become a childminder. I am passionate about building relationships with the children and their parents.
I am now looking to change back to full time nanny work.
My hobbies and interests include: going to the cinema, eating out, baking/cooking, nice walks, reading, and making lots of chocolate which is great for children to get involved and getting messy.
I am honest, hardworking, flexible, creative, conscientious and outgoing with a caring nature.
I am also a Chocolatier and love making my own chocolate. My business is going quite well which I started at the beginning of lockdown (Boudoir Chocolat) but also the little ones love making chocolate lollipops.
My Experience
I have previously worked as a nanny for an accountant for 1 year, whom has a 4 year old boy and babysit on a regular basis for the past 2 years for a 3 year old boy.
I have also previously worked as a nanny looking after 1 child for a Doctor. I took the child to and from school. After school we did various activities for example: shopping, baking, cinema, bowling, homework, making dinner in or eating out, painting, drawing, games and going to the park.
I previously worked as a nanny for a doctor, looking after 2 children aged 3 and 6 years. Also another family looking after 2 little girls aged 4 and 6.
In these positions I drop off and pick the children up from nursery and school, through the day we do a number of activities such as baking and making ginger bread houses/cakes, painting and being creative, swimming, parent and toddler ice skating sessions, drama classes, going to the park, riding bikes, cinema or a chill out film on cold rainy days, jigsaws/boardgames, help with homework and reading stories. I also cook dinner, light house cleaning, washing, make beds and give the children showers/baths and in pjs ready for mum and dad to come home.
My Qualifications
I possess a CACHE Level 2 qualification in Child Care and Education.
Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
Childminding Approved Training Certificate
Ofsted registered Childminder and CRB checked. Alex is also CRB checked.
Safeguarding Certificate.
Childminding Insurance Certificate.
Driving license and own car.
