About Me
Hello my name is Jennie and I am a fully qualified, Ofsted registered childminder. At my last Ofsted inspection, I was rated as outstanding.
We live in a lovely cul-de-sac with woods at either end. These let us have great adventures whatever the weather! I live with my husband and my three children; my daughter is 15 and my two sons are 13 and 6. Within our home we have a dedicated area set aside for the provision of childcare as well as a child friendly garden.
I strive to provide a warm, friendly and exciting environment to help stimulate and encourage educational play and well being. Above all, I feel it is important for children to explore and investigate the world we live in.
All parents are invited to join in with our setting. We go on regular day trips and excursions to ensure the children experience as much as they can about our society and provide as many learning experiences as possible. All parents are invited on these trips.
The more imaginative we are, the more creativity we are, the messier we are, the better it is!
I aim to encourage the children to learn valuable skills and to educate them through daily play, whilst allowing them individual expression.
My Experience
I started work at a leisure centre crèche whilst studying for my BTEC National
Diploma in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing).
I then went on to be a private nanny for 3 years to 2 children raising them to school age, leaving them in 2007 to set up my childminding business.
I have now been childminding for 15 years. In this time I have completed and will continue to complete numerous courses to ensure I provide the highest quality and inclusive childcare setting I can.
I love my career and that reflects on the children in my care; I have trouble getting them to go home!!!!
My Qualifications
I hold a current paediatric first aid certificate, Safeguarding children certificate and level 2 food hygiene certificate.
I hold a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies (Nursery Nursing) and CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home Based Childcare
I also have a wide variety of other certificates which include baby signing, observations and common assessment training.
I am able to accept 2, 3 and 4 year old funding vouchers and the 30 hours childcare.
I will continue to under go regular training to meet the criteria necessary to provide the highest quality care I can.
My Availability
I am open between 7.45am and 5.30pm, Monday to Thursday. (I can be flexible if required)
I offer full, part and term time places as well as before school care from Oasis Academy and nursery.
I am happy to work in partnership with a nursery for an older child if required.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I provide affordable childcare and I am registered for tax credit claims, childcare voucher schemes and HMRC scheme.
I am a fully accredited childminder and can accept 2 year old funding vouchers and nursery funding for 3 and 4 year old children.
