Hello,
My name is Sammie Starr, I'm 20 years old and I'm a very passionate person and love children. I've grown up in a very large family, and adore all ages of children. I live with my parent and two other siblings in Failand, in a quiet cul-de-sac. I do a lot of babysitting for family friends, and others.
I am confident, reliable, punctual and a polite person. I have also done a Level 3 CASHE Childcare and Education Degree at city of Bristol, College Green.
My Experience
Started volunteering for Summer Play-scheme in 2009 for Complex additional needs children and continued onto payed work in 2010, .
Followed from this I started buddying a 7 year-old autistic child at my local martial arts club, which I have been a member of for 9-10 years, and teaching for 5 years.
Have volunteered at 5 different setting through my Level 3 CASHE Childcare and Education Degree Course at City of Bristol, College Green, these were; Apple Tree's Day Care Nursery in Long Ashton, Flax Bourton C of E Primary School in Flax Bourton, Teddies Day Nursery in Bower Ashton, Becket Hall Day Nursery in Bristol, then finally at Ravenswood School for complex additional needs children in Nailsea.
I am currently working with a 3 year old girl whom is severely disabled and undiagnosed. Needing 1 to 1 care Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday after school 15.45-18.00.
I've also started a new job as a Care Assistant throughout North Somerset.
