Hello! My name is Dilshana and I am an OFSTED approved childminder in the Barton Hills area of luton. I am also a qualified teaching assistant who can help young children to excel and be prepared for reception as well as other years in KS1 and KS2. My childminding facilities are open from 7am until 7pm.
I have 22 years of experience regarding caring, catering and comforting young children. This includes myself having 4 children (3 of which have now gone off to university) alongside being a childminder for nearly a decade.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage which concentrates on Physical development, personal social and emotional development, Communication and Language, Mathematics, literacy and understanding the world.
My childminding facilities includes:
- A playroom where children can play dress up, play with playdough, paint, draw and do many other arts and crafts.
- A lounge room exclusive for me to care for the children. In this space, the children can have nap time, watch and carry out nursery rhymes with myself as well as read books (or myself reading them books). The older children specifically like the lounge room as they can come back from school and nap as well as have down time with the other children!
- A dining room where the children eat their healthy snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinner (all inclusive of the hourly rate). I also tend to bake with the children too.
- Their own bathroom separate from the bathroom that my daughter and I use. This is cleaned professionally every week.
- A large garden which consists of many things such as a slide, swing, playhouse, benches and a sand table.

My Experience
Having 4 Children, 3 of whom are in their 20s and are at university has to be my most proudest and life learning experience. This has helped me a lot when counselling and developing children in my setting.
I have also worked with children in a school setting, whilst being a teaching assistant, helping them to learn topics as well as cater towards their needs.
I also have experience in caring and comforting newborn babies and those that may have difficulty speaking english well.

Received training in pediatric first aid.
Completed course in Understand how to set-up a home based child care service.

My Availability
I am willing to look after children from early in the morning till late at night or whenever my services are required.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
£5.00-5.50 per hour from 6:30 am till 6:00 pm.
after 6:00 pm £6:00 per hour.
These rates include meals. Should parents choose to provide their child's food they may do so.
