About Me
Hi! My name is Bethan and I am a trainee teacher, currently completing my final placement teaching a Year 2 class.
I have over twelve years childcare experience across every age group. I worked in a nursery for ten years, and have spent the last few years working in schools. I have taught in both KS1 and KS2.
I am seeking a part time nannying position to support myself whilst I finish training.
In my free time I enjoy an active lifestyle am a keen runner. I also love to cook and try out new vegan recipes. I have a 1st Class History MA, and the subject remains one of my primary interests.
My Experience
After completing my BTEC Level 3 diploma with a Distinction Grade I spent a year working at a nursery were I gained valuable experience here and provided care and education for children aged two to five with a variety of educational and behavioural needs.
After this I began work at a nursery in Cambridge. I spent my first three years based in the toddler room looking after two to three year olds, occasionally also working in the pre school room. I then spent two years in the baby unit looking after children as young as three months, up to twenty two months. I then went part time and acted as supply across all areas of the nursery whilst completing my first degree. Through out this time I also worked as a nanny for various families around Cambridge.
I then moved to Norwich after the completion of my BA and MA, and worked as TA for a year in a reception class before enrolling on the SCITT Teacher Training course in September 2022. I am due to gain QTS by the beginning of July 2023.

Bethan has been babysitting my three year old son since earlier this year and I cannot imagine a better carer than her! She is wonderfully reliable, trustworthy, caring and kind-hearted. My son (who can be a bit picky about his carers) loved her from the beginning and always enjoys his time with her immensely. She prepares his meals, is very imaginative in playing, and has an astonishing ability to take him to bed. Her experience and aptness in handling children comes through in every regard - I cannot recommend her enough.
