My Experience

I have over 16 years experience with a range of ages including sole care of a 3 month old to managing an after school club and everything in between. Now a hands on experience of my own baby daughter

I have been nanny in various settings for over 8 years and have enjoyed working as a sole charge nanny with many families.

One of my positions was looking after two boys, a baby and a three year old. It was a position combined with ‘mother’s helper’. I worked various hours including overnight, had sole care and shared care with both mother and father. I took the baby swimming on a regular basis and went with both children to various pre-school activities. My duties also included cooking family meals, children’s washing, ironing, baby bottles, amongst other things.

For over 3 years I worked part time caring for three boys, 7 year old twins and a 7 month old baby (when I started). My duties were full nursery care for the youngest, starting with washing, sterilizing and preparing his bottles, nappy changes, bath time, making up his puree and encouraging the weaning stage and then developing moving on as he grows. I did a range of age appropriate activities with all three of the children, for example sensory and messy play with the youngest, walks to park, beach and arranging play dates and nanny meet ups.

I was delighted to be the nanny for identical twin girls. I loved the challenge that came with caring for twin toddlers (which I struggle to tell apart!). I feel my main strength is treating the girls as individuals and giving them the same opportunities as single children would have.

I worked at a local nature pre-school, where most of the day is spent outside. I love working in the open air and feel it is so important for children to be out as much as possible come rain or shine, with appropriate clothing!

At the same time I worked three children (8 months, 3 & 5 year olds at the time) in a home setting for 1 day each week.

I have adapted my practice to comply with he changing Covid 19 regulations.

I took maternity leave in April 2021 till January 2022.
I am currently working at a local pre school.

My Qualifications

I am NVQ level 3 qualified in Early years care and Education, current first aid trained and ofsted registered.

My Availability

I am available to work up to 3 days per week.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
