About Me

I offer a home from home, nurturing environment, providing healthy, vegetarian and organic snacks and meals included in the hourly fee. Our ethos is natural and holistic, we utilise a mixture of Steiner and Montessori alongside traditional methods so that children experience a well rounded education suited to their individual needs.

I have a friendly bunny and two friendly cats within the household and have a small outdoor area in which children can grow their own herbs and vegetables. We also regularly visit Bath City Farm to see the chickens, sheep, cattle and pigs.

I have experience with home educated children. I previously qualified as a teacher and teach my own ten year old at home enabling younger children to gain far wider educational experiences as they also interact with other home educated children.

I am within easy access of Widcombe Play Area, Sydney Gardens, Henrietta Park and five minutes walk from the city centre. We are an active family and encourage outdoor and educational play, as a National Trust member I utilise member benefits to enable the children to access the miles of beautiful countryside surrounding us and special events held at these locations.

I am forest school trained and spend most of the day outside with children, for this reason I cannot offer school/nursery/preschool pickups.

I work 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday at £8 per hour. I am able to work hours outside of my usual opening hours upon discussion with parents. I can offer temporary/ad hoc contracts but cannot offer half days due to the fact we are outside most of the day.
