About Me
My name is Tanya Southern and I am Part of the Family Childcare. I am an Ofsted registered childminder in Chatteris. I have been childminding since 2015. I am a member of Pacey (formally NCMA), have full Pacey liability insurance and am paediatric first aid trained. I only work term time, school drop offs and pick ups. I cover Glebelands and Meadows.
I am a full time mother to four children and find it the most rewarding job in the world, I love children and feel I have so much to offer any children in my care.
I used to work with lots of young people from many different countries and have a good understanding of cultural diversity and equality.
I am an active member of the community and regularly go to child groups and activities. We love going to the play park and walk most places.
I have a large happy, boisterous home and family, who love others and are keen to share. I have a seperate playroom and a large garden which cater for all age groups.
My Experience
I am Ofsted registered, inspected, first aid trained and fully insured.
I have four children of my own, two girls and two boys. I grew up as part of a large family and my mother childminded for over 10 years.
My Qualifications
Pacey Early Years and Childcare Workforce training, which included child protection.
Paediatric first aid, refreshed annually.
Full clean driving license.

My Availability
I am term time only, so do not charge fees over the school holidays unless you have asked me to work.
I am available term time for full time/part time care.
Before and after school pick up and drop offs at Glebelands School and The Meadows Nursery in Chatteris.
I have one part time space available from September 2024.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.50 per hour
I am registered to be paid with the governments tax free payment scheme and childcare vouchers. I am registered to take children for the free 15 and 30 hours government scheme.
Standard fees are
£4.50 standard hours between 07.30 and 18.00.
Meals are charged extra.
Out of hours fees are double standard hours.
