Hello, my name is Hannah and I love working with children. I have two gorgeous boys of my own age 4 and 6 months. I have worked in early years for over 10 years now, in nurseries, nannying and now my own childminding business.
I adore the outdoors and grew up on our family farm, which we still tend to each day. I love involving the children in this and they have had some fantastic experiences with bottle feeding lambs, grooming ponies and collecting eggs from the chickens.
Back at our base I provide a very child led environment where children can free play to their hearts content as well as engaging in some more structured activities that match development stages and following child’s interests.
I adore Montessori/Hygge based living and we have hints of it here too. We attend playgroups, forest school groups, local parks, libraries, woods and other day trips!
My Experience
I had the opportunity to do a level 2 course at the highly commended Norland College which was a great opportunity to watch and learn alongside the Norland nannies! Then went on to complete my level 3 in childcare.
I have worked in a local nursery/preschool for over 10 years in total! Its a very busy nursery so I’m very much used to looking after multiple children. I adored building bonds with the little ones, often looking after siblings of children years later too! I really enjoyed setting up activities for children and feel like I have a real eye for capturing the children’s attention and imagination. I have some SEN experience and experiencing lots of different ways that children learn and develop. I really feel that working within a nursery helped shape the early years teacher I am today.
I nannied for a few years which gave me a huge freedom to enjoy the children’s company.
I started my own childcare business back in 2020, which I am absolutely loving and proudly getting an OUTSTANDING grade.
