About Me

Hello Family

I am a friendly and energetic BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies Graduate with 9 years experience. I would love to continue to pursue my passion for caring for children and use the skills that I have developed throughout my current and previous roles to make a meaningful contribution to your family.

I would describe myself as creative, enthusiastic fun loving and patient, but also responsible and reliable.

I can conform to any role that is presented to me, whether it is in a team or on a sole basis. I enjoy working with others and believe I can adapt to any situation presented to me. I am a fast learner who is comfortable working in a new environment.

My Experience

Every child has a right to receive high-quality childcare irrespective of ability, culture or religion. My experience has shown me how the different opportunities given to all children help them to achieve and develop as individuals.

I have gained experience in a variety of different settings, I have had the opportunity to learn how to adapt my style of care to ensure that individual children’s needs are met.

The multi-disciplinary nature of my degree gave me insight into diverse perspectives, practices and policies with regards to children and childhood. This developed and extended my own knowledge of children, especially with regards to the importance of child development and children’s rights. For instance I have gained a sound knowledge of policies such as Every Child Matters, as well as the Early Years Foundation Stages and the National Curriculum.

Jenna worked for us for a year looking after our 4/5 year picking her up from school. She was amazing, I never had to worry about pick ups, she made sure there was a healthy and tea and some great trips out.
Jenna, quickly became great friends with Milly my little girl and also with us.

Jennas experience with children is obvious from the first time she met our 2 sons. Both of them like Jenna and are happy to be left in her care.

Jenna communicates an overview of what the kids have eaten, done etc during each day they spend with her.

Her flexibility with hours has been a god send to us as the work shift patterns my husband has made it very difficult to find appropriate childcare.
