About Me
Hello my name is Heather and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder graded 'Good' and a member of Pacey. I live in Tow Law with my partner and 2 children aged 14 and 10 years, in a 3 bedroom semidetached house. I deliver the EYFS.
My Experience
I have vast experience of caring for children through being a parent and having worked in private day nurseries for over 10 years before registering as a childminder in 2012. I worked my way up from providing supply cover in a busy day nursery as a nursery nurse, to becoming a Senior Practioner and having experience as a Deputy Manager. I also have experience of providing one-to-one care for a number of children with special educational needs. My experience includes working with children from birth to 11 years.
My Qualifications
Foundation Degree in Early Years (FD Open)
Paediatric First Aid
Level 1 Child Protection
Every Child a Talker (ECaT)
Deaf Awareness
I have also attended numerous training courses throughout my career.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday, 7am to 7 pm. I can provide wraparound care for children attending local schools. I am also registered with the local authority to deliver the 'Play and Learn' 2 year old scheme. Full and part time spaces available as well as emergency and occasional care.
From September 2017 I will be offering up to 30 hours free childcare for qualifying 3 and 4 year olds.
