About Me
Hello, my name is Joadie.
I have been away from the site for a couple of years, but I’m back and looking for a beautiful new family to work with.
I have my own daughter who is 5, called Summer, so I would preferably like to incorporate her in my work life too. (She is however only with me 50% of the time)
I have worked with children in various settings, from ages ranging from new born to 18, and have been doing so since the age of 19. I am now 35.
I’m very much into positive reinforcement and believe it is important for children to be rewarded and reinforced for all the positive things they do, no matter how small.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience in work with children with SEN. Particularly in the field of Autism. I was a behavioural therapist for two and a half years, with children with ASD. I have also worked as a support worker for children and adults with Aspergers. Since then, I worked in a nursery as a one-to-one with a child with cri-du-chat syndrome, and as a behavioural support worker for teenagers. I have worked with children of all ages ranging from new born, right up to 18yrs. I have experience in PECS, some restraint training, speech therapy and I have first aid training.
I have also been a nanny for around 8 years with three different gorgeous families.
I currently work at the Priory hospital as a senior mental health worker.
