Hello,
My name is Nicki and my Assistant name is Bethany.
I devised my business name from what I as a parent would be looking for in a childminders get service as a parent, if I was placing my children into child care - Trusted, Experienced, Dependable, Dedicated, Independent, Enjoyable and Supportive. I have used these characteristics all through my years of childminding and I have believed they have worked very well, proof of of this how well the children who I cared for alongside their parents have grown into successful and respectful people in all that they do in life. Nothing is more satisfying to me then witnessing the accomplishment of children who were ever in my care accomplish the things they want as they grow and throughout the rest of their life.
My Experience
Over, the years I have cared for children from all walks of life from service families to single parent households , and everything in between. I utilised this knowledge a long side what I have learnt from raising my own three children, aswell as all the information I have picked up through reading and courses when I am caring for any child.
I also cared for a child with Down syndrome for over a year, researching into his disability and specific need to be able to work effectively alongside the parents, suggesting new ideas and play activities to help further the child development.
My Qualifications
Qualifications and course that relate to childcare:
Specialist Safeguarding Children Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 CACHE Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools. St Johns Ambulance Paediatric first aid.
Introduction to Makaton Signing.
Safe touch, safe hold and as a last resort, safe restraint. Preventing and de-escalating aggression. CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare Grade B. Every Child a Talker. Code of Practice Training Evening. Long, Medium, and Short Term Planning. Observation, Assessment and Planning Training session. Gems Training Safeguarding children (Child Protection). ITI Word Processing.
My Availability
Available from 7am until 5.30pm during the weekdays, I don't work on weekend except in cases where it may be necessary to help the family. However, overnights will not be possible due to not being registered during that time frame. Although Bethany offers a separate babysitting service
