About Me
I am a Ofsted registered childminder in a lovely rural village called Roydon about 5 minutes from Harlow. I have been child minding since 2008 but before this I worked in a private day nursery for 13 years looking after children from 12 weeks to 5years. I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge during this time.
I live in a semi detached house with a wonderful secure garden for the children to play in daily whatever the weather!
I live with my husband and son with our five cats, Poppy, Cody, Pearl, Pepsi and Katie . I have a welcoming secure environment for the children with a home from home feel. Toys and activities are plentiful, exciting and engaging and are age /stage appropriate helping the children to learn and play and develop to reach to their full potential. I am also manager to an after school club looking after children of different ages. Children who attend my setting during the day will
be offered a place at this setting. This gives continuity of care and flexibility for parents.
All members of my family have all have been immunised for Covid and receive the regular booster injections.
My Experience
I qualified as a nursery nurse with N.N.E.B qualification in June 1990. I have since worked in two nurseries for the same employer and gained great knowledge and skills with working with children from three months to school age.
I started childminding as my son was starting school and I wanted to be able to drop him off and pick him up from school and to look after him in the school holidays. Childminding fitted in and I enjoy looking after other children whilst my son is at school.
My home is also a non smoking environment.
I run a After school Club in Roydon based in the local church hall which children who attend my setting can also attend. this is run with another registered childminder and other staff who are all DBS checked and have relevant childcare qualifications.
My Qualifications
N.N.E.B Qualification June 1990.
Ofsted Registered.
Enhanced Criminal Bureau check.
Pacey Member.
CACHE Dipolma in Home based Childcare Level 3.
Current first aid certificate.
Public Libility Insurance
Regular training which includes EYFS Early Years Foundation Stage.
Safeguarding Training.
Hold a clean full driving licence
Food Hygiene training.Allergen training.
Diabetic Training.
Fire Safety.
My Availability
Monday to Thursday 7.45 to 17.30 and 7.45 to 16.30 pm on Fridays. I am flexible with hours and will work alongside parents to meet their working needs.
I am available 50 weeks of the year and can offer full time, holiday cover and part time hours .
At present I have no full time places available .
I also run an after school club from 15.00-17.30 at Roydon Parish St Peters Church. I am able to take children from my daily child minding to the church hall to attend these sessions and parents can collect from the church at 17.30 when finished working for the day. This has proved to be a great success and helps the younger children get use to the school they may attend when reaching school age. For after school care 15.00 pm until 17.30pm Monday to Thursday and 15.00-16.30pm on Fridays. I am only able to collect only from Roydon Primary School .

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
My fees are £6.50 per hour.
Full fees are to be paid if child is sick and on public bank holidays. No fees are charged if I take annual leave or on leave due to sickness.
I am registered with various childcare voucher schemes and FEE (Free early years entitlement scheme) for 2 ,3 and 4 year old children.
