I am a very polite person and several people would describe me as patient, gentle and caring. I believe this is why I am suited to work with children of all ages, and especially as i have a wide experience with all ages. I am also a very proud person, and like to ensure I put 100% into everything I do.
I enjoy reading, watching films and spending time with family. I enjoy taking long walks, and visiting new places. I also like crafty activities, and am always researching fun activities and idea to carry out to widen my knowledge to use in practice.
I love working with children and being a part of their upbringing. I like to ensure I have a close relationship with children and their families, to make sure I can provide the best care for your individual families requirements.
My Experience
I have several years of experience due to being around children as I was growing up, I always had involvement with bringing up cousins and also siblings (14 years between me and my sister!). I also did a full year within a school with children in year one. I then followed that on by spending another year in a nursery placement working within the baby room and 2 years-5 year rooms. I then went into a full time nursery nurse position where I have developed my skills, and knowledge. I hold a BA degree in childhood and youth studies, and now I am an early years trainee teacher.
I also now have a child myself, he is 3.5 years old so I understand how tricky it can be to manage date nights/appointments and general time to yourself!
My Qualifications
I hold a CACHE Level 3 diploma in child care & education, I am also first aid trained and have a full DBS check.
I finished with 12 GCSE's all graded A*- C grades including child development in which I completed several units such as a child study which I was given permission from parents to work closely with a child as a specific age to develop their skills by identifying their developmental stage and planning appropriate activities based on this.
