Hi, I'm Ruqayyah
I consider myself a confident, compassionate and hardworking person. I am outgoing and have no difficulty in meeting new people regardless of age. I am looking for families who are interested in a short-term babysitter or private tutoring for their child/children. I am qualified paediatric nurse, and have had several years experience working alongside children and their families. I work with integrity and enthusiasm and can guarantee reliability.
My Experience
I graduated from university with a first degree in child nursing Fours years ago and had been working at Birmingham Children’s Hospital up until recently.
I decided to take the courageous leap of faith by leaving my job, to travel around the world.
I have 10+ years experience of working with children from a variety of backgrounds including fit and healthy children as well as those requiring high dependency care.
I have previously worked in a special school and have had experience with children who have special educational needs.
I am confident in working with children and feel that my experiences over the years has enabled me to understand their diverse needs.
I have over 5 years experience of tutoring Maths and English to children ranging between 4-16years.
I have also taught English as a foreign language to adults.
My aim is to enhance the child's learning by making lessons enjoyable and memorable. I work around the needs of the child therefore, my lessons are often tailor made. I am also very flexible if babysitting is required
I hold a full UK driving license and valid DBS check
My Qualifications
BSc Hons First degree in Child Nursing
3 A-levels in Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care
12 GCSEs A*-C
My Availability
My availability may vary throughout the week, however this can be negotiated privately. I am looking for a short term position as I frequently travel around the world.
