About Me
I am a qualified early years childcare provider I have been in child care for 12+ years. I have a Level 3 in Early years care and development a Level 3 in play worked I am also Montessori trained, I have a Level 3 in equality and diversity Safeguarding and food hygiene. I also have paediatric first aid 2018.I have just been rewarded a diploma in Montessori pedagogy level 4 and will be looking to achieve a level 5 over the course of the next few years. I have two children of my own Lauren who is 20 and George who is 11 (2018) I am married to Ian and we live in a little house in Maunby a beautiful village in North Yorkshire the house has an acre of land attached.
I love my job and believe that children learn when they are safe, secure, independent and happy in the right environment.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 15 years after previously working in care, retail and estate agency, none of this jobs felt at all rewarding. I love my job and cannot imagine doing anything else.
I have worked in a few day nurseries locally and previously been a childminder for 11 years looking after and watching children grown and develop in my local area. I still have a strong link with all the children and their families so references are not a problem at all. I totally embrace the Montessori method as I believe that it promotes independent happy confident children.
