About Me
My name is Shell Husein and I am thirtyfour years of age. Currently I am studying my masters in Education with the goal of going onto my doctorate next year. I am a a level six early years practitioner and my previous roles included deputy nursery manager and manager. I have full first aid and full safeguarding training. I have been in early years for just over 6 years and am a fully qualified educator due to my second class BA Hons in Education studies. Before i was a nursery educator i was a teaching assistant at an all-girls secondary school. I assist a range of students varying from different ages and educational needs. I have been in this position for three years and have developed my behavioural management skills and have been able to create unique learning experience for each student I have supported. The types of special educational needs I have support range from students on the Autistic Spectrum, Hearing and visual impairments to Dyslexia and emotional difficulties.
My Experience
Furthermore I have tutored for two students who are primary school age. The eldest student’s lessons were tailored around his upcoming eleven plus exam, the younger student has an assortment of topics to choose from depending on what subjects she was currently studying at school.
I have been developing my Nanny and childcare skills since the age of fifteen. At one time I would have up to three children from ages five to ten. As I got older I was able to take on more responsibilities and started to help the children that I looked with homework and provide healthy meals for them.
From the age of twenty-one I started to look after younger children, their ages ranged from new born to the age of four. Looking after younger children required a more structured and disciplined approach.
I am currently taking my early years teacher status at university so am not available tuesday and friday
My Qualifications
2.2 in BA Hons Education studies. I have covered all elements of education from early years, adult education the psychology of education and SEN inclusion. I am currently in my second year of my part time masters in Education.
