About Me
My name is Claire. I am 37 and live in Castleford West Yorkshire with my husband and 2 children.
I love looking after children and babies and have been both a nanny and nursery nurse for over 18 years.
I have a Level 3 qualification, which I achieved in July 2000 in BTEC Nursery Nursing. I am also first aid qualified and have experience of working with newborns up to teenagers including children with special needs.
Since qualifying i have mainly worked as a nanny. Then in 2009 i accepted a postion with the council as a Family Support Worker. Working for 18.5 hours per week. I was in this role for over 5 years. This position gave me lots of opportunities to complete further training and work directly with children and their families. I left this role to return to nannying, a role I undertook from 2015-2019. From May 2019 to the present date I have returned to work for the Local Authority as part of the Children and Young People’s Service.
I currently babysit for a local family with a 2.5 year old child on an adhoc basis. I have cared for this child since he was 9 months old.
I have childcare in place for my own children and access to our family car for work purposes. Business use in place. A DBS check was completed by Wakefield Council earlier this year.
For babysitting roles I can be flexible on days for evening babysits and happy to do overnight care.
All of my previous nanny positions have been long term placements and I still remain in touch with all the children I have previously cared for. I am extremely reliable, caring, fun and energetic.
I love crafts, outdoor walks, baking and cooking nutritious meals.

My Experience
Over 18 Years experiences working with children and babies as a nanny and babysitter, 5 years of which was spent as a special needs nanny.
Experience as a mother to my 9 year old son and 7 year old daughter.
I have worked as a nursery nurse in private day nurseries and in schools supporting children with special educational needs.
My current role is within the Children and Young People’s Service as part of Wakefield Council. My working hours are 9-5 Mon- Fri.

BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing
Paediatric First Aid Course meets OFSTED requirements. Completed in 2018.
I have also completed a variety of courses through my previous employer such as Child Protection and Communicating with Babies and Children.

Babysitting position £10 per hour depending on location of home address

Claire is reliable, professional & put us at ease straight away when we used her to babysit on our wedding day. I am hoping to move to Leeds area in the near future & would definitely use her again. :-)
