About Me

Thank you for viewing my profile,

I will be available from September 1st 2023.

I absolutely love children and have spent my career working with them in a variety of qualified roles.
I am an honest, reliable, caring, warm and fun person, and mum to my lovely boys who are now independent young men aged 23 and 27.

I enjoy all aspects of my job including taking children out to playgroups, parks, soft play etc, story telling, reading, creative play, arts and crafts, and supporting/encouraging children to be engaged with and enjoy their school work.
I believe each child will reach their individual potential when they are given love and firm boundaries to feel safe and secure within. I have been an approved foster carer for both the National Fostering Agency and for our Local Authority, fostering children from babies to aged 6. I now enjoy putting all my skills, versatility and experience with children into the role of nanny.

Letter of Recommendation for Kate Pace-O’Shea

We hired Kate as our nanny when our son George was 11 months, and Sam was seven years old.

From the very beginning Kate was able to form a close bond with both boys, easily engaging with them and adapting to their individual needs. George is extremely active, Kate’s experience, enthusiasm and especially her loving but firm boundaries helped him to enjoy fun days whilst learning how to manage his energy and feelings. She was particularly good at encouraging and helping our elder son with his school homework and projects.
She researched and took the boys to interesting fun days out during school holidays and took George each morning to a variety of playgroups, parks, and soft plays, where he learnt to socialise and make friends.

Kate is totally reliable and trustworthy, she usually had an extra friend along after school pick up, to make it more fun for Sam. Kate arrived promptly, her cheerful disposition always made it a pleasure to hear her ‘good morning’ each day. Kate is willing to be flexible and always did all she could to adapt to our busy work schedules.

She asked about and respected our parenting views and choices, which is important to us. We never felt a moments worry about leaving our children in her capable care, knowing she could and would deal with any situation.

Kate really became an integral part of our family and only left when George started full time nursery. We do not hesitate to highly recommend her.

Please feel free to call us, Kate has our contact numbers.

Yours sincerely,
Chrissy and Mark.

My employer 2019 - 2020 was in the entertainment industry with a very high public profile, I am happy to bring that reference to an interview, but I am not showing it here to respect her privacy and confidentiality.

To whom it may concern:
Letter of Recommendation
I am writing on behalf of Kate Pace O’Shea, who will be applying for a position as a nanny or different form of childcare. With this letter, I would like to stress that, from my point of view, it would be difficult to find a better candidate for taking care of a child, no matter his or her age.
In the two years I’ve known Kate, she has truly become a part of our family. She began watching our child, Otto, when he was only four and a half months old. Since 3 April 2016, she has been working every day of the working week, 6 hours per day during Otto’ first year, then seven hours a day. She is also the most flexible person in adapting to my busy work schedule with extra hours or changing the regular times. I also need to go on short business trips from time to time and Kate always stood by us, with long days to match my husband’s work schedule whilst I was gone.
Now, all this was possible because from day one, I could trust Kate 150%! She’s always devoted her full attention to Otto, but in a way, that I would not have done it differently. I was especially happy for Kate to take Otto outdoors every day, no matter the weather. Therefore, when Otto would leave in the morning with Kate, or come home at night back to us, it has always been seamless. Otto is as happy to go off with Kate, as he is to come home. This trust and peace of mind I’ve always experienced is difficult to describe, as I could not have wished for a better person to be on Otto’s side, teaching him self-confidence, laughing and being there for him when he was a bit ill or had tougher days. I never had to worry or rush home from work because of a situation Kate would not have been able to handle. And Otto would not be the lovely, well-educated and confident child he is if I hadn’t found Kate.
We are so saddened to have to let go Kate, only because we are moving to another country. Otto will miss her most, as she is probably the dearest person to him after the parents at this moment. This even extends to Kate’s father who has become a third grand-father to Otto, with our own family being too far away for weekly visits!
I wish Kate to find a new position quickly, as her warmth, attentive care and cheerful personality will bring light into any family with children. I have never seen Kate in a bad mood and she even cheered me up when arriving every morning!
Please do not hesitate to ask Kate for my phone number or email if you’d like any additional information, which I’d be more than happy to share.
Sincerely,
Janna Rabba
