I am a caring and patient individual who enjoys spending time with close family and friends. I enjoy working with children and have been actively working with children since 2012. I am creative and fun person and enjoy taking on new challenges and finding opportunities to gain new information.
I have made a career in childcare as I am genuinely interested in child development and child health but I also entered this field as I want to change the perception of the role of men in childcare.
I have great listening, communication and creative skills which are fundamental when working with children.
I will be willing to provide great learning opportunities for the children in my care to allow them to develop and nourish in their environment. I can also carry out any cooking or cleaning chores around the house if this is requested.
My Experience
I currently work as a Senior Early Years practitioner in a private nursery, working with children between the ages of 3 to 5. My role in the nursery is to plan and implement various learning opportunities for the children as well as safeguarding their welfare and individual needs. I have experience for working with children 0-2 years also.
I have experience working within a local authority nursery within Perth and Kinross and the job role was very similar to the role I am currently in.
I also have gained knowledge and understanding of working with children with learning difficulties and complex behaviour. I gained a lot of this through practice placements with Perth College.
