About Me
I am a registered childminder within the local area of Torpoint and been childminding for 32 years and have lots of experience in looking after children of all ages. I currently live in a 3 bedroom semi-detached house which is both pet and smoke free. Within my care i work with assistants which are all CRB checked and withhold a first aid and child protection qualification.
My Experience
All children and parent/carers will be treated equally and fairly, regardless of race, ability, religion, sexuality, culture or class. I will regularly carry out observation on the children in order to assess their development. Parent/carer will be provided with a bound EYFS child record, observation & assessment sheet every three months. I regularly plan outings for the children to take part in, ie. park, walks, toddle group, soft play, library. I will only travel by public transport. I will always have the necessary safety equipment for younger children such as reins, pushchair and so on.
I have a small garden but it is very well equipped with playhouse, water activity, small tent and bikes, scooters and small cars.
Inside I have a special playroom exclusively for the children, equipped for the children's learning & development. Toys, painting, coloring, play-dough, sand, bricks, small toys,books, puzzles and a dollhouse are all provided, as well as a computer for older children.
My Qualifications
I have a current CRB check & carry out risk assessments every 4 months in my setting. I have also completed food hygiene health & safety, Health & Hygiene, First Aid, Manual Handling, Autistic Experience, Managing children's behavior, have completed my EYFS and am continually studying to improve my knowledge. I have also just received a GOOD in my latest Ofsted report which was carried out on the 24th of August 2015.
My Availability
I currently do school drop offs and picks up before and after school to both Torpoint infant/nursery school and Torpoint carbiele juniors. I offer a range of snacks and meals for the children in my care and follow to an allergy precautions that may be needed.
