I am qualified Secondary School Teacher and I have a micro self employed tuition business and have had profiles on online tutor agencies for 10 years.
I am a QTS, PGCE and BSc Hons in Environment Studies and Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University 1999 and 2000. That means I am a qualified education practitioner. PGCE includes some junior school education training
I have been a private tutor from 2007 to the present with many students who improved their grades and provided feedback on my online tutoring agency profile.
I am happy to advise homeschooling parents.
I am happy to tutor English and Maths from Year 7 and any National Curriculum subject with the exception of Modern Foreign Languages and music.
I welcome Dyslexic or Discalcula students and Keystage 1-4 (KS4 GCSE or any level).
I have a particular skill in tutoring Business Studies or Economics, English, Geography, History and Politics to A Level too.

I have taught in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Local Education Authority Schools.
Tutoring Approach:
I am very structured and wish students to have a thorough knowledge of the theory (which becomes the subject language and short form of Communication -and without which good grades are impossible) of their subject. To this end I am prepared to make lessons -tutor time - interesting with lots of input on catchup programmes in English and Maths KS1-4 and top company information in the case of Business Studies - and I believe in working through the recommended text books. There is no substitute for learning from the Recommended resources as this is the information the examiner expects to receive and the information easiest to mark. For Key Stage 2 and SATs and GCSE Maths i have two excellent sets of math theory videos.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £12.00 per hour
Fees start from £22 per hour (this represents 2 hours work as an hours preparation is made for each tuition session). Discounts are available for multi lesson bookings. GCSE and A Level tuition is £25 per hour, tuition can be shared and there are discounts for longer bookings or 1.5 hour lessons.
My minimum contract is 4 hours i.e. one hour a week for four weeks on a monthly renewable agreement.
