About Me
I am a fully qualified and Ofsted registered childminder. I live in Kingswood with my Husband and our Son’s (born in 2015 and 2017). I became registered in October 2014 and started childminding in January 2016 after my maternity leave. I am reliable, friendly and fun and my main reason for being a childminder is because of my love of children. I have a welcoming, spacious, non- smoking home with dedicated space for childminding and a safe and enclosed back garden. We currently have no pets. I combine the use of my large range of resources (both indoor and outdoor) with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework to enable children of all ages and abilities to develop and learn to their full potential. We also enjoy many outings, going out most mornings, then coming home for lunch, naps and play. These outings include regular trips to our local community farms, Bristol Zoo, parks, woods, play groups, music groups, libraries, soft plays, visits to friend’s houses and the children’s centres for childminding group, stay and play and messy play sessions.
My Experience
I have worked as a family worker in a primary school and as a babysitter and childminder’s assistant. I have two children of my own and I play an active role in the lives of my nieces and nephews and my friend’s children. My most recent role before becoming a childminder was working as a care assistant in the community, supporting vulnerable people, such as the elderly and disabled.
My Qualifications
My relevant qualifications so far are: Grade B GCSE in child development, a Diploma in Health and Social Care and a BA (Hons) Social Work Degree. I have completed the childminding course and keep up to date with paediatric first aid training and child protection training. I am a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY), showing my professionalism and commitment to personal development and training. My Husband and I are both DBS checked and I have public liability insurance. I continually update my training and am hoping to undertake further relevant qualifications in the future.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 6pm during school term time and holidays. I am able to provide nursery and school runs to/ from Minerva Primary Academy and Nursery.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.50 per hour
I charge £5 per hour. Parents are also required to pay for the groups that we attend and to provide their children's meals.
