About Me
My name is Daisy, and I am 24 years old. I am a young working professional and UCL grad. (I am more than willing to offer any homework or revision help when babysitting!)
I have ran both a brownie and rainbow girl guiding troupe so have extensive experience with children and am more than happy to partake in baking, crafting ,sports, general play etc!
I enjoy a lot of sports, in particular, long-distance running as I'm attempting to train for a full marathon. I also enjoy reading and arts and crafts with children. I've ran a blog for the last two and a half years, and have experience in photography, creative writing and journalism making me a great homework help asset!
I've raised over £500 for charity through 3 miles swim's, 6k runs, bake sales, sponsored silences, etc.
I consider myself to take an active role in the community as I regularly helped out around school in open evenings, tours, meet the teacher nights, representing the school and/or certain subjects.
I use to give tours around the schools I attended so I regularly met parents and worked to ease their concerns, I have also played sports for local teams for a number of years, have spent nights in the local elderly home with my guide group, run activities and lone nights for girl guiding and partake in charity funding.
If you are in need of references I am more than happy to accommodate.
Its imperative to parents that they trust me with their children and know me and so I am more than comfortable and happy to meet up with any parents/guardians if you ever wanted to meet me before asking me to babysit.
My Experience
Am an ad-hoc babysitter for other mums on this site.
I ran a local brownie group (ages 7-10) and local rainbow group (ages 4, but mostly 5-7).
I have also worked one on one with two children for 'student mentoring' in which I've worked closely one on one with the kids who needed some help adjusting to high school, having moved up from primary, and some who needed help in subjects, friendship groups, anxiety, shyness, etc.
I also volunteered in a YR7 maths class, and YR8 geography class and work with a child who has special needs and needs a little extra help.
I babysit (ad-hoc) family friends children and my nieces and nephew.
Have also helped out at my local childminder every now and then previously.
My Qualifications
Jack Petchy award for my school in playing an active role in the community, continuously supporting the school, and acting as a class room support to other members of the school. Hope that gives you a better insight to my character.
Completed GCSEs and A-Levels which has led me to take up a place at one of the top 3 uni's in the country - UCL.
About to start a first aid course
