My Summary

My Experience

I have a depth of experience throughout early years to young people. I have worked in a nursery including babies, toddlers and pre school. I then moved onto a primary school and worked with reception children up until year 6. I used to work with a little boy with learning disabilities. He used to have cerebral pawsey and I was very much setting targets, tasks, activities etc to meet his needs.

For a short period of time, I worked with a family in Freshford. I was nannying for a 1 year old boy and a 3 year old girl. This was Monday-Thursday 11.5 hours each day. Unfortunately their circumstances changed which meant they no longer needed a nanny. I have also worked with another family with 3 younger children. This includes the school run in the mornings and afternoons, prepping for morning, lunch and tea times and general household duties.
Before nannying, I worked at a special needs college in Dilton Marsh with a 1:1 student who has mental health issues and suffers with autism.

I also have some experience in part time nannying. I cared for a little girl (age 3) for a short period of time. This included, taking her to swimming lessons, preparing some light meals, looking after the dog and sometimes bed time routines. I have experience working with multiple children and on a 1 to 1 basis. I am also familiar with housekeeping duties such as laundry, ironing, cleaning and keeping the children’s rooms tidy!

I throughly enjoy my time with children or young adults. I am quite lucky and have studied in all aspects and areas of development. I am quite fortunate that I am very aware of the EYFS because of working in a nursery and having studied this for several years. I am so passionate about my work and getting the best out of children or young people. I can plan activities appropriate to each age.
