Hello! My name is Charlotte.
I feel that I am a very warm, caring, friendly and understandable person that enjoys working with and caring for children. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, paddle boarding and being beside the sea, baking, photography, exploring coast paths and being outdoors! :)
I am 28 and I hold a Level 3 Diploma qualification in Childcare and Education. I live in Ipplepen, South Devon. I've held a full driving license since March 2012, with added business insurance. I'm very flexible and available to travel.
I feel that following children's interests is very important, therefore I listen to families, supporting their children's likes and preference and try to encourage many fun activities and experiences for the children to enjoy such as trips to local play parks, the beach, arts and crafts, games, sports, trips to the beach etc.
I'm available for part time babysitting/nannying/mother’s help. I am currently working local to Totnes. I am looking to see if any families living close by are in need of babysitting/mothers help during the evenings/weekends.
I am more than happy to look after children both in their homes and/or taking them out to play parks, beaches, swimming, playgroups/toddler groups etc...very flexible!

My Experience
I have worked with a whole range of children aged 3months-19 years and their families.
Previous to my full time job at the moment, I was working as a nanny for a lovely family caring for their 2.5 year old little boy/mothers help & support as unfortunately mum experienced an injury where a wheelchair was needed.
For the past 8 years I have been part of Orchard Saturday club, as a Support worker.
Orchard Saturday Club is a small respite charity offering support and short-breaks to families living with children with severe and profound learning difficulties and associated medical and behavioural challenges. We offer different ranges of activities taking into account the age and interests of the young people - the aim and ethos of the club is to engage our young people in social activities in the ‘real world’ by supporting their social and communication development and increasing their tolerance of new experiences and activities.
I’ve had lots of experience working in local primary schools (Denbury Primary school, Canada hill), local pre-school (Saplings - Ipplepen) and nurseries (Compton valley Nursery in Compton, Rainbow Day Nursery - Torbay Hospital) Private holiday nanny in Cornwall and Switzerland caring for families/teaching little ones to ski. Paddleboarding, surfing - confident looking after children at the beach/in water.
I have spent some time travelling/caring for children working as youth staff onboard Cunard cruise ships.
I have had lots of experience of evening and daytime babysitting/nannying for many local families for the past 10 years plus. (Lots of these children are now all grown up!) I have also worked at our local preschool in Ipplepen- Saplings, and know many lovely families living in the village. I'd be more than happy to provide some references.
