About Me
I am a qualified Steiner Waldorf Early Years Educator working at a local play-based preschool in Oxted, looking to work part-time.
I have lived in the US, France, Switzerland, and now the UK. I also spent some time at the Freie Waldorfschule Karlsruhe in Germany, where they specialise in working with children recovering from trauma at refugee camps and how the Steiner Waldorf principles can heal.
Ideally, I would like to find a family who understands and appreciates the value of creativity, free play and spending time outdoors.
I believe in meeting the children where they are and providing a gentle, loving environment free from fear and punishment.
I work with children from 0 to 7 years of age.
I don’t drive, so I can only work with families who live within walking distance of Oxted.
I am available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays after 3:30 pm. I'm also available for occasional babysitting during the weekends.
My Experience
I started working with children over 12 years ago. My teacher training took me to live in America, Paris, Geneva and London. I have excellent references.
My Qualifications
I have a Level 5 Steiner Waldorf Early Years Education diploma.

Ani cared for my son twice a week for nearly a year while we were living temporarily in London. She and my son bonded immediately and I felt as if I had known her for years because of her warm and caring personality. I trust her completely with my family and know that my son was under the best care possible while with her. Aside from safety and comfort, Anihas a true gift for working with children and always had a special activity idea to engage my son. I offer my highest recommendation of Ani, without any reservation, and any family that works with Ani will quickly see that she is a blessing.

Ani looks after our nearly-two-year-old daughter two afternoons a week, and she is truly amazing. She is highly qualified and experienced, and has developed a beautiful, nurturing relationship with our daughter. She is creative and fun in her approach (lots of imaginative, outdoor and sensory play), but also a very calm, grounding presence. When we get home, the house has a lovely atmosphere and our daughter seems so happy. Ani's also very reliable and easy to communicate with — I trust her completely. Our daughter genuinely loves her and asks for her when she's not around — which is the best review there is!
