About Me
Hi! My name is Monica I am 48 years old, happily married to my husband Marc for over 25 years and we have four lovely children (3 girls and 1 boy) ages 22,19, 17 and 13 years old.
I have been successfully childminding for a number of years and have had the privilege to see these children grow up and still stay in touch with me.
I currently childmind mainly for Teachers but other sectors also.
Having a large family is wonderful and each and every member of my family embraces my childminding and my childminding children benefit from having my older children around. My eldest daughter is a Primary school Teacher and my second daughter is currently studying Criminology at University in preparation to become a Police Officer. My son is currently training to be an Aeronautical Engineer and my youngest daughter is a busy little athlete!
I absolutely love spending my days with children helping and encouraging them to learn, grow, play and enjoy new experiences and feel lucky to be able to provide top quality childcare in my own home setting. As a Mum and childminder I know the importance of being a positive role model and know how to provide a happy, educational, fun, inclusive atmosphere whilst implementing the EYFS areas of learning and development. I have a large range of toys and equipment, a big garden and am lucky to live in an area with a choice of play parks and lots of green spaces for picnics! My weekly routine consists of different playgroups/library trips/feeding ducks/trips to playgrounds/days out to places of interest and arranging activities to meet with EYFS curriculum and children’s specific needs and interests.
I also belong to a wonderful childminding network group where we have lots of social interaction together with the children.
I believe that parents and I working together with the same aim of making their child feel happy, safe, loved and confident is the key to a successful happy child! X
My Experience
I am OFSTED registered with a GOOD rating and have been childminding for quite a number of years now and gained so much experience from different children’s cultures and backgrounds.
I offer an inclusive setting where love and learning go hand and hand. I am still in touch with lots of families who I have minded for and had the pleasure of seeing grow up.
Being a mum to 4 children has introduced me to a career in childcare and now I couldn't imagine being happier and having so much fun doing any other job!

I have spaces for under 5s and I currently have spaces for before and after school for St. John Fisher.

Our daughter started in a nursery from 8 months old but we soon moved her to Monica as we wanted a home from home setting and Monica had been recommended to us by a friend.
Monica is truly wonderful and our daughter settled immediately. She makes every day exciting with lots of different activities and outings and keeps you updated with what they are up to each day.
She genuinely cares for the children she looks after and creates such a warm and welcoming environment. Our daughter absolutely adores Monica and her family and I would recommend her to anyone I know in need of childcare in/around Loughton.

Monica was our childminder for five years caring for our son and then our daughter. Although it was nerve wracking leaving our first child with someone we couldn’t have wished for anyone better. Monica and her family have become part of ours. Our children absolutely love Monica and still go over for playdates even though they are both in school now. They also love her family, who are all just as lovely and caring as Monica is. Monica took our children out on visits, to playgroups and has a fantastic group of other childminders she meets up with so our children were very sociable with her. They are confident, happy and bright children and we know we have Monica to thank for this (as well as ourselves!!). Monica supported not only our children, but us as parents. If you are thinking of using a childminder I cannot recommend Monica enough.
