Ofsted registered child minder. Open open 47 weeks of the year.
I am in my 40s and live in Underdale Shrewsbury with my husband and my grown-up children.
I was a stay at home mum for ten years and thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoy family time and going out and about. My time spent with my children inspired me to seek a career in primary education and subsequently childminding.
I have a safe home which I've lived in for over 20 years. There are two rooms set up in a comfortable environment for children to play freely , have fun and sleep when needed. Its a great environment for children to develop and thrive. There is a safe and secure garden for them to explore, play and use up some of their energy. A local park to walk to and enjoy.
It is a legal requirement that I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage for all children under 5 in my care.
I aim to provide high quality care by planning, providing and taking part in play based activities that will stimulate and support every child’s physical, social, emotional and communication language skills in my care, listening to, encouraging, enabling, stimulating and provide safty of all children.
My Experience
For eight years I worked in a local primary school as a classroom teaching assistant taking small groups of children plus, 1:1 teaching assistant for special needs children both educational and physical needs . I've also gained NVQ 2 Supporting Teaching in Learning and NVQ 3 Childcare Learning and Development. I have a lot of experience in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. I ensure the children enjoy themselves whilst at the same time develop their learning.
My Qualifications
NVQ 2 Supporting Teaching in Learning, NVQ 3 Childcare Learning and Development, Elklan Level 2 speech and language ( 3-5years), Paediatric first aid, Epi-Pen training, Safe Guarding children , fire safety.
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday and offer full or part time child care. Minium of 10hrs a week. Meals can be provided at an extra cost.
