About Me
Hi, my name is Georgette Briggs, but most people call me George or Georgie.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with over 20 years childcare experience. I am married with two boys, both of which are adults now (well, age wise anyway!)
I live in Epworth on the Isle of Axholme within walking distance of both the primary and secondary schools.
I do the school runs to and from Epworth Primary Academy and take little ones to toddler groups, stay and play sessions, parks and lots of outings.
I offer a 'home from home' environment for the children in my care with a designated playroom with lots of toys/activities.
If they want to sit and chill at times, that's fine with me, equally if they want to take part in an activity, they will be supported in doing that.
We own a very friendly dog, which is kept out of the way whilst I am childminding, although some of the children like taking him for walks and playing with him in the garden if supervised.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since 2000 and prior to that worked as a nanny for five years before having children of my own.
I have always received a 'Good' in my Ofsted inspections.
I have a wealth of childcare experience, from newborns to teenagers.
I have also volunteered at pre-schools and the local primary school.
My Qualifications
I have an NNEB (level 3) childcare qualification, as well as a paediatric first aid certificate and DBS checks. I also hold a basic food hygiene certificate and my Covid vaccinations.
My Availability
I have no early years availability at the moment but have school run vacancies every day to and from Epworth Primary.
My hours are flexible during the day and I start at 7.45am and finish around 6pm.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.30 per hour
Currently I charge £4.30 hour for pre-schoolers and £4.40/hour for before and after school.
