Hi, my name is Claire and I am a Brackley based childminder. I live with my husband and we have 2 lovely children aged 18 and 13, we also own a cat and 2 dogs.
I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 15 years, and before that I worked as a nanny for 5 different families over 13 years.
I love being a childminder, and I welcome the children into a caring environment, where they can feel safe and happy.
During the week we visit the library joining in for story time and the children can choose some books to take home, the leisure centre for pre-school gymnastics. We regularly go to the park and walk to the lake to feed the ducks. At home I have a wide range of indoor and outdoor toys for all ages and stages of childrens development, on a daily basis the children enjoy craft activites, sensory play, mark making, stories, singing and outdoor play.

My Experience
After leaving school I went to college and did a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursing (level 3) during the 2 year course I did placements in different childcare settings, including nursery, preschool and home settings.
After qualifying I became a nanny for a family with 2 children. This was my first nannying position and I then went on to work for 4 other families with children as young as 3months.
After being made redundant from my last nanny family who I had been with for 10years I decided to become a childminder.
Being a registered childminder, I completed a childminding course, CRB checked, I hold a paediatric first aid certificate which is renewed every 3 years.
I continue to further my own childcare knowledge by regularly taking part in childcare webinars and online courses.

Claire has cared for our three children for over 10 years, that speaks volumes.
Claire has always accommodated our shift patterns. Claire is organised, reliable and dedicated.
Claire is very creative and inspires the children they have opportunity to draw, paint, make models with modelling clay/play dough.
Claire embraces the outdoors, children are encouraged to play outside in her well equipped garden despite the weather, they will go out on walks and jump in muddy puddles. The children in her care are always her top priority.
Our two boys are in secondary school now. They have very fond memories of Sports Day in the Summer Holidays and undertaking Blue Peter challenges to name but a few.
Our little girl Amelia has always loved going to Claire’s, if she could move in she would! We have a beautiful folder of her creations and achievements to date, many thanks

My daughter has been with Claire for almost a year now and although it took her a while to settle she now really enjoys going to Claire's house and Claire is wonderful with her. My daughter takes part in lots of different activities and ones that challenge her. Claire spends a lot of time updating her learning journey and also making lots of lovely keepsakes which I will treasure forever.
Due to my job I have been unable to take her to some toddler groups and I really like it that Claire takes her to the groups in town on a Tuesday so she gets to join in.
As a childminder myself I was very 'picky' over who my daughter went to, and Claire was my first choice so I am glad we got a space.
I look forward to Lucie returning to Caire's as soon as possible and for her to do more hours from September.

We didn’t know Claire when we first took her on in 2015 but we instantly liked her and both of our children flourished with Claire’s support. Claire always effortlessly goes the extra mile , she will mark events for the children and teach them and do crafts around the subject helping them learn whilst enjoying play.
Claire is very much an outdoors carer and despite the weather will walk or encouraged outdoor activities. The children are always top priority.
Our kids are in school now but we worked with Claire for 5 years and felt her input into our child helped them hugely in their development.
We couldn’t recommend her enough she’s pure quality !

Claire is amazing. She had my little girl since just before she was 1, right upto she was 5 years old, when she started school. A year on from leaving, my daughter still talks about her fondly and asks frequently when she can go to Claire's again. Claire does so much with the children in her care: Forest School, gymnastics, library, trips, walks, arts and crafts, swimming, etc. She's really creative and goes the extra mile. My daughter loves her and both her and the children who went to her were like a second family to her. She has a very well deserved outstanding Ofsted rating. I've used 2 other childminders in the past with my other children, and there is no comparison. She provides an excellent all rounded education in a loving and calm family environment. We've been so lucky to have her. I have no hesitations at all in recommending her.

Claire has looked after my son Zachary since he was 9 months old. She always goes above and beyond with regard to care, creativity, love and enthusiasm. Zac has attended groups at the library, local churches and the leisure centre with Claire and also Forest School at Evenley Wood Garden.
I couldn't recommend anyone more highly with your little one. Sadly we are moving out of the area but your love and care for Zac will be remembered for a long time. He always comes home with a smile on his face and has made such a lovely group of little friends there.
