Hi, My Name is Laura. I have worked in child care since 2016. I am very passionate about caring for children and I aim to create a fun and safe environment for the child to play and learn in.
I would describe myself as an extremely hard working, reliable, bubbly, fun, creative, dedicated individual.
I currently work at Old Macdonalds day nursery at the grove in Watford and have been there since June 2016. I am a preschool unit manager and SENCO officer however have worked with all ages from 3months up to 5.
My Experience
I have in the past experience working with a variety of different ages from birth-10 year olds. I studied health and social care at college and after finishing that decided I wanted to complete my Level 3 childcare course. Where I gained a lot of experience while not only studying but working full time at my current nursery. When I started at Old Macdonalds I was in the puppies and bunnies room (ages 2-3) after a year and a half, I moved into the baby room (3months- 16months) so I was able to experience a different age range and a year and a half later I am back into puppies and bunnies as a senior nursery nurse. I then got promoted to assistant unit manager and then had the amazing opportunity to become unit manager in the preschool room. I also previously nannied for a family on Saturdays who are a local high profile family so I understand the importance of being professional and maintaining confidentially in the work place. I have created a very good bond with the children and family and built up a trusted relationship with the parents. However no longer needed!
