About Me
I’m a fun energetic and gentle natured woman who has lots of experience working with children and adults with special needs. I’m a recent graduate of a fine art degree and have had my own artist practise since graduation. It is my long term goal to become an art facilitator, running workshops for children and adults with special needs. I have strong skills and experience in organising person centred activities from baking to arts and crafts. I am searching for a long term position that alows me time to work in my studio as an artist, a part time position of 3+ weekdays at 9+ hours would be ideal.
My Experience
I have a years experience volunteering at a primary school while I studied a ‘level 2 in childcare and education’ and a further two years working at the same school as a teaching assistant. While also running an after school club at this same school for six months, independently working with up to groups of 12 age ranges from reception to year six. I then gained a position as a support worker for adults with special needs while I studied a diploma and then bachelor degree in fine art, this is the position I have held for the last five years. I excel in developing activities for all abilities and gained the position of fun champion due to my strong abilities in managing fun and engaging activities that are person centred to different people’s needs. These skills are all highly transferable to a new role as Nanny.
My Qualifications
I am a trained teaching assistant, with a level 2 in supporting childcare and education. Five years working with adults with special needs with training in well fair, first aid training and a completed certificate of care qualification. An honours bachelor of fine art and winner of the deans prize or academic excellence.
My Availability
Ideally I would be working weekdays, any day Monday to Friday with a three to possibly four day a week maximum, I am looking for long shifts that are ten hours or more. Working 30 hours or more a week
