About Me
I am 23 and studying a BSc in Sociology at the University of Roehampton. I lived in central Acton, West London for 13 years but now live in North Chiswick. Creative, so I love arts and crafts. I have worked as a Nanny on and off since September 2019, 3 years experience in childcare positions. I like working with kids as they are great fun to be around and if I can help a parent out by taking care of their child for a few hours while they are working then that’s great.
My Experience
I regularly look after my nephew, who is 9. Mostly during the day time but sometimes overnight. I have picked him up from school on occasions and also dropped him off some mornings. My duties have involved making breakfasts (pancakes or cereal), lunches (packed lunch or oven food) and dinners (Spaghetti Bolognese or a simple chicken dish). Entertainment wise, we would normally play Mario Kart on the wii, watch films, draw, and make pizza’s or play card games like snap. I have also helped him with his reading and times tables. I worked as a Nanny for a local family with 7-year-old boy. I would pick him up after school and take him to his clubs, facilitate homework, make dinner, organise activities(i.e. park, play dates etc) and keep him entertained. I also worked for a family with 3 children: G7, B5 and G3 over last summer and this summer I worked for a family with 2 children: B10 and G8 and another family with 2 children: G11 and G8. I am more than happy to take them on trips to museums, ice-skating or days out for sightseeing. Also happy to organise days in as well, for example pamper days or mini bake offs. I want kids to have fun with me. Homework and chores will get done but I do try to give them independence with some things as I feel it sometimes works better if they come to me when they need me instead of me hovering over them because no one likes that. Babysitting: £11ph (+travel depending on location) & Nannying: £14-16ph gross (depending on duties)
