Hi there from Gem’s Little Rockets
I'm Gem and I’m an Ofsted Registered Childminder.
I live in Chorley, Lancashire. I am married and live with my husband Mark and our three children, Christopher, Oliver and Freya. We also have two Patterdale Terriers – Tilly and Izzy, who are both very good around the children. The dogs have free run of the house, however there is a stair gate that can prevent them from accessing the ground floor if required.
I live in a three storey townhouse, the whole of the ground floor will be used for childminding purposes, this comprises of a dedicated playroom, a downstairs toilet and basin. The hallway also offers a large play space.
The middle floor of the house, is where we will eat in the kitchen/dining room, the landing area is used as a sleeping space for children who require daytime sleeps. The lounge area is used occasionally for quiet time.
The top floor of the house is not used for any aspect of childminding.
I drive a 5 seater car, which I use for business purposes. I hold a clean driving license and I am insured for business use. I have a selection of car seats that are suitable for children from birth upwards. No child will travel in the car without parental consent or without the correct car seat. The car seats are checked regularly for wear and tear and replaced accordingly. The car is serviced regularly and MOT is completed annually.
My Experience
I have over 15 years experience of working with children, most of this is working within the Early Years sector. I am extremely passionate about helping children to develop to their full potential. I am currently a Lead Childminder Practitioner within the Lancashire area.

Under two’s – morning (08:00 – 12:30) £20.00
Under two’s – afternoon (12:30 – 17:30) £20.00
Two to Five years – full day £35.00
Two to Five years – morning (08:00 – 12:30) £17.50
Two to Five years – afternoon (12:30 – 17:30) £17.50
Five years – Eight years (Before school 08:00 - school starts) inc. breakfast £7.50
Five years – Eight years (After school - School Finish – 17:30) inc. tea £12.50
Holiday Care 8:00 to 17:30 (School Holidays – Reception Age to Year 6) £30.00
Fee’s include:
All meals, drinks and snacks.
Nappies and wipes for those using them. (Nappy Brands being used – Asda – Little Angels, Pampers, Aldi – Mamia. Wipes Brands – Pampers or Asda – Little Angels.)
All outings and activities.
Fee's are charged for the month in advance and a month's fees are required as a deposit to hold a place.
