My name is Rachel and I’m an Ofsted registered childminder based in Taunton, Somerset.
I'm also a mother to my 10 year old twins & wife to my husband of over 15 years.
We do not currently have any pets and have lived in our smoke-free home in Taunton for over 18 years.
I have worked with children for over 10 years, plus having all the extra experience that comes with being a parent to boy/girl twins, really gives me a good all round understanding of childcare for children of all ages.
I used to be a registered childminder previously but stopped to have my own children. Now that my children are older and at school, I have gone back into childminding which I absolutely love and enjoy.
I've always known that childcare was for me and that being part of a child's life in helping them develop and grow up in a safe, fun and caring setting is really personal to me.
As a self employed childminder it allows me to have more 1-2-1 time with the children and allows me to work to the well structured setup I pride myself on.
I'm well trained, fully qualified and properly insured with a solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. This helps me deliver a positive and prosperous childcare service to the children in my care.
My Experience
I was previously a registered childminder for 6 years (but stopped to have my children).
I work as a registered childminder as I enjoy caring for children and supporting their development.
My experience as a parent and training as a childminder has provided me with strong skills in childcare.
I feel very comfortable and competent caring for children of all ages.

My Availability
I offer school term time childcare between 7.30am - 6pm Monday to Wednesday.
My availability is based on the term dates set by 'Holy Trinity Primary School' (Taunton) and term dates can be provided to you upon request.

My Fees
- Childminding from £4.00 per hour
I currently charge an hourly rate of £4.00 per child.
I am happy to offer a siblings discount.
I provide an invoice by email on 15th of the month with payment due by the end of the same month.
I currently require a deposit and payment is due in advance.

Rachel has been wonderful with my daughter. When choosing a childminder it can be really hard to feel confident about your decisions when going back to work but Rachel was fantastic from the start. Gradually getting to know my baby and making her feel safe and confident when being looked after. My daughter now nearly 2 really enjoys her time at Rachel's and I can leave her feeling reasured that she is happy and being cared for.
