About Me
Mimosa Montessori is a nurturing homebased Montessori setting, located off Dean Lane in Winchester, Hampshire. It is led by Anna Blackman, a qualified Montessori Early Years Educator and Childminder, registered with Ofsted. Mimosa Montessori offers children from 16months upwards the opportunity to explore, learn and be creative within a safe, enriching and authentic Montessori environment. Our setting includes a large open plan learning space, all weather outdoor play space and large woodland garden.
We offer children a beautiful and sensory rich environment where children are able to learn at their own pace with the freedom to choose from a broad range of activities, which appeal to the child’s own natural interests.
My Experience
Anna has over 15 years experience within the education sector from Early Years through to Secondary Schools, working as a Creative Practitioner and Project Manager. Over the past three years Anna has specialised as Montessori teacher within an outstanding Montessori nursery in North London, with children age 2-6. Anna is mum to two boys age 5 and 8, both whom attend local schools and currently runs Mimosa Montessori - a childminding setting alongside leading Art Camps for children age 6+ and Family Art Workshops.
My Qualifications
Anna has a Montessori Pedagogy and Practice (Early Years Educator) L4 diploma with Montessori Centre International (MCI). Anna also holds a Textile Art BA Hons degree from Winchester School of Art, plus a CACHE award in Preparing to work in homebased childcare from Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY). Anna is Paediatric First Aid trained and has an enhanced DBS. Mimosa Montessori holds full Public Liability Insurance.
