About Me
I am an ‘Outstanding' teacher, with 3 years classroom teaching experience in an inner-city primary school. For two years, I have worked as a qualified Year 3 teacher (Scottish P4 - aged 7-8 years). I have also taught Year 5 & 6 (age 9-11 years) and KS1 (age 5-7 years).
Throughout my training and practice I have been commended for my excellent subject knowledge, especially in English and Maths. Many of my previous students made accelerated progress (above the national average), including those with additional educational needs. I am able to identify and nurture the strengths of each child in order to make learning fun and maximise academic outcomes. I always take into consideration preferred learning styles and personal interests.
In addition to my experience as a class teacher, I am a fluent French speaker, having lived in Pairs for 3 years. I also hold a masters degree from UCL in Cultural Heritage Studies, specialising in Heritage Education.
Above all I love working with children, helping them achieve and feel good about themselves as learners and as citizens of the world!
