I am a 25 year old psychology graduate currently working full-time providing psychotherapeutic support to individuals with mental health issues. This work is largely centred around my ability to provide empathetic, responsive and person centred care.
I also have a full UK drivers licence and access to my own car.
My babysitting is entirely catered around the needs of your family and your children. My experience to date has reflected my ability to engage children in a range of fun and educational activities, tailoring my approach to the needs and nature of each child. I am a confident and competent cook and am happy to cook for children with a wide range of dietary requirements and preferences. I have babysitting experience with newborns up to age 16. I have also significant professional experience working with children and young people with mental health issues and additional needs.
My minimum rate is £9 per hour however is assessed on an individual basis and subject to change depending on the number of children, assigned responsibilities, needs of the children and hours in which babysitting is required. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
My Experience
In addition to general babysitting experience, I have also worked closely with children with additional needs. This work enabled me to be responsive to each child’s individual holistic and communication needs. A large part of this role involved scheduling activities suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities, engaging children in sensory play and encouraging children to build meaningful friendships with peers.
Additionally, I have over five years experience working within the mental health sector. This work has enabled me to be empathetic, adaptable to changing situations and flexible in managing challenging behaviours.
I have obtained my advanced first aid training and paediatric first aid training. I also have a range of CPD qualifications including training on the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.
Additionally, as a friendly and enthusiastic student, I pride myself on my approachability. I am happy to undertake cooking responsibilities within roles and have experience in primary school tutoring so would be confident in assisting with homework.
My Qualifications
I hold a 1st class honours degree in Psychology, graduating top of my year in 2021. Further to this, I have significant experience working within the mental health sector and have therefore obtained additional qualifications related to the implementation and understanding of relevant child safeguarding legislation. As part of my work in mental health care, I have undertaken an enhanced access NI vetting check.
