About Me

My name is Debbie and I am an accredited advanced plus registered childminder. I am qualified at an NVQ4 level and have attended lots of courses to ensure I offer the best childcare for the children I look after. Before becoming a registered childminder I managed nursery and preschool settings. Me and my husband own our own 5 bedroom house in Canford Heath a 5 minute walk from Canford Heath first and junior school, cuddles and Longspee. We have a 11 year old son called Thomas. We are lucky to have a large house with an annex on the side which has playroom, bathroom and kitchen leading to a conservatory on the back which is used for eating and as an additional playroom offering free flow into the garden which consists of a paved area and then artificial grass with an area at the back of the garden for the children to dig, plant and grow flowers and vegetables. We have a large summer house as well which stores different role play and toys. I do promote lots of outdoor play to encourage children's development. The large garden has lots of outdoor toys and like to use the garden to its full potential. We have lovely walks around the area and a library 5 mins up the road with a near by park. I do lots of activities with the children and include them in all I do preparing snacks, meals, cooking and I encourage lots of different arts and crafts and physical play outdoors. I am very bubbly and outgoing and a firm believer in making learning fun for children. I understand how difficult the transition for parents to find childcare for their little one is and will help work with you to ensure your child has the best childcare experience as possible.
