About Me
** CURRENT VACANCY x1 / ADVANCE BOOKINGS WELCOME / TERM TIME ONLY AVAILABLE **
Does your little one like to go to parks, libraries, playgroups, soft-play, play-dates, galleries, see animals, visit museums, occasional cafes and concerts? - We do too.
Our bigger outings are in the school holidays. Last year in February half term we took the children to the Imagination Festival at Southbank. At Easter we went up Tower Bridge. In the May half term we went to an outdoor theatre performance of Aesop's Fables and for the October half term we went to Tate Modern and Hampton Court Palace.
We have a playground across the road and a big private courtyard.
Do you enjoy exploring cultural diversity? - We do
When you’re busy being grown up would you like your little person to be in a family atmosphere: getting outside, going on adventures, singing, sharing stories, being silly and eating healthy food? - That’s the sort of stuff we like.
Does our location work for you? - We a very short walk from the Lower Sydenham train station. Just beside the construction site. Please check your commute with this landmark. There is on-street parking around us.
We encourage independence and curiosity, learning through child-led play and adult facilitation, setting up activities and experiences. I prefer empathic discipline, boundary setting and leading by example.
I am Ofsted registered. We follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) from first time away from home through to school-ready.

My boy started going to Rebecca just before he turned one and just loves each day.
I have never seen a group of children get on so well and play so happily together, Rebecca and her team of helpers are just magic, my boy gets such wonderful attention and has grown so much.
I particularly love the ability to be flexible, not only with our needs as parents but also for the children, how adaptable Rebecca and her team are to provide the best environment for the children on each day, if they are restless and not into the planned activity then they might go outside and do something else and vice versa; it really feels like my boy is just a part of a lovely large extended family. We attend each others birthday parties and the community is great. I was so nervous about putting him in childcare and viewed quite a lot of places but immediately just resonated with Rebecca and the team, the warmth, the love, the fun and the kindness shown to the children is just glorious and I love getting the updates via the app each day.
My boy has grown into a funny, charming, curious little being and I do feel that a large part of that is due to his time at Rebecca's where it is small enough for him to get the attention without being overwhelmed but also big enough to have interactions with other children of different ages, younger and older. It is just a wonderful inclusive loving and joyful family and I am so grateful that my boy is a part of that family for these key early years.

Ohhhh thank you so much Imogen. We love having A in our home and you all in our extended household too. It’s been a real pleasure to get to know you all as a family.
We are very happy we chose Rebecca as our son's carer. This was our first experience with childcare and he was with her from 1.5 to 3.5 years old, until he started preschool.
Starting from the settling in, Rebecca was attentive, flexible and caring and gave him everything he needed to feel safe during this big transition. In just a few weeks he was all settled in and for the rest of this time there he coudn't wait to go to Rebecca every morning. He went there happy and left even happier.
As a tri-lingual child, Rebecca made sure she supported him well by frequently asking about new words in our languages and making sure she is helping him build an equal vocabulary in English. We also loved that she takes the children on all kinds of adventures outside and serves them nutritious and healthy food.
It's been now a while since our son moved to preschool, but we still keep in touch and arrange playdates both with Rebecca and her children and also with other children and their parents who we met at the setting. We would choose Rebecca again and again as we trust her completely.

Response by Rebecca on 18/04/2024:
Thank you so much Pavlos. We absolutely loved having A in our home and he has a long-standing place in my heart. I look forward to seeing him keeping on developing as the curious, funny, calm and delightful person he is. I can’t wait to eat at his restaurant one day 😉
Rebecca helped us out at late notice, taking our 3 year old daughter for 1 day a week over a 2 month period when part of our nursery arrangements fell apart. This was an unsettling time for her, but Rebecca & her team's willingness, flexibility & clear rapport with Edith gave us the confidence that this would work out - and it has! Thank you everyone :-)

Response by Rebecca on 14/09/2023:
Thank you so much Cat. I hope E is doing well. What a fantastic love of books she has! I’m already thinking a career with words awaits her.
Rebecca has been an amazing first childcare experience for our daughter who started when she was one. Initially struggling to settle away from the home environment our daughter in no time was literally running down the corridor with a big smile on her face to get to the door and greet Rebecca with open arms. Just the mention of her name gets a big smile now.
Our experience of the childcare setting is like a home away from home. It's been lovely to watch our daughter create a whole new social circle at such a young age. The days seem to be filled with such a range of engaging and stimulating activities. And she even naps well too. The environment is clean and the food menu varied.
Unfortunately we have to leave Rebecca much sooner than we would like due to our eldest child's school being so far making it logistically impractical dropping them both!
We would highly recommend.

Response by Rebecca on 27/07/2023:
Thank you so much for your kind words, which I look forward to sharing with my assistants and family. We have really loved having your precious little one at our setting. She comes across as grounded, kind and calm with a cheeky sense of humour developing. It has been a true pleasure to watch her confidence grow and see her personality sparkle through. We will miss her. Definitely looking forward to the occasional drop-ins at Rhyme Time or any ad hoc days when you need them.
Rebecca and Co was our sons first childcare from 11 months and if it wasn’t for us moving, he would still be there. The setting is so welcoming, clean but also a great space with lots of toys and activities. We were immediately comfortable leaving him.
We would always pick him up with a smile on his face and he couldn’t wait to go back the next day.
Rebecca would always keep us updated on their activities through the day which was great and they would often have day trips to galleries, playgroups etc.
Our son still often mentions Rebecca and some of the other members of staff and we were sad we had to move on. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for childcare or is unsure about taking the step towards leaving their child in care.
